Feasibility work for the sensitive conversion of an existing rural barn set within a National Landscape (AONB). The project explores the transformation of a heritage structure into a single contemporary dwelling of approximately 3,000 sq.ft., balancing modern family living with a deep respect for the building’s agricultural origins and landscape setting.
The proposals focus on carefully considered extensions and alterations, informed by local character, traditional forms, and robust planning strategy. Particular attention has been given to heritage significance, materiality, and the relationship between old and new, ensuring the intervention remains discreet and appropriate within its protected context.
