The existing tennis clubhouse based in suburban South West London was both dilapidated and deficient in serving the needs of the local club.
The proposed design takes the form of a contemporary 2-storey pavilion. It incorporates new club changing rooms, club bar, child-daycare facility, a multi-purpose function room and expansive viewing galleries overlooking the tennis courts.
The predominantly glazed first floor level provides great connectivity between the playing courts and the public areas. The heavier stone clad ground floor encloses the more private spaces such as the changing areas.
